Liora's Library
Last updated: 29 September 2026
What it does
The Library is a place to find new communities. It lists servers Liora lives in whose owners chose to be listed, on a public page at laltima.com/library, and Liora can suggest them in chat when someone is looking for a new place.
- Owners choose. Liora asks each server owner once. If they say "not now" she asks again after 30 days, and "never ask again" means never. Only the owner can join or leave the Library, or approve the server's blurb. Admins can adjust the settings and suggest a blurb for the owner to approve.
- Shelves and ages. Each server picks a shelf (like Gaming or Art & creators) and says who it's for: 18+, 16+ or 13+. The age group shows on its card.
- Suggestions in chat. When someone asks Liora for a new place, she can show two or three matching servers. She only does this in DMs, in The Agora, or in servers that switched suggestions on. She never pushes anyone to leave a server.
- Ranked by who stays. Servers where newcomers stick around rise. If most people leave a server straight away, it drops, and it's hidden if that keeps happening.
Closed beta
While Liora is in her closed beta, only The Agora can be joined through the Library. Other servers' cards still show, so people can see what's there, but joining through the Library opens when the beta ends.
What it takes to be listed
A server needs all of these first:
- Liora has lived there for at least 14 days.
- New members are screened, by verification or Liora's Gatekeeper.
- It isn't an age-restricted (NSFW) server.
- It has a shelf, an age group and a blurb.
- Liora can create invites and manage the server (to make the Library's invite links and see who stays).
Moderators using two-factor authentication (2FA) is recommended during the beta and required once Liora is public.
What's on a card
Only public things: the server's name, icon, number of people and how many are online (people only, never bots), its shelf, age group, tags and blurb. Never anyone's user ID or name.
Blurbs are plain text. Links, pings and formatting are removed, so a blurb can't hide a scam.
What goes to other services
When Liora writes a blurb, she sends Google's Gemini AI the server's name and description, some channel names and a rough member count. She never sends anything about members. The owner approves the blurb before anyone sees it.
What she keeps
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Who joined a server through the Library, and whether they left | To rank servers by whether people stay | 30 days |
| Who reported a listing, and why | Three reports from different people pause a listing until Liora's team reviews it | 7 days |
| That someone joined 5 or more Library servers in one hour | Spam protection (see below) | 24 hours, in memory only |
| How many times each card was clicked, per day | For the owner's stats (numbers only, no people) | 30 days |
| The server's Library settings, blurb and invite links | To run the listing | While the server is listed |
Keeping it safe
- Reports. Anyone logged in with Discord can report a listing (once a week per listing, and a few times a day in total). When three different people report the same server, it comes off the shelves until Bliss or a Library keeper looks at it. Reporters' names aren't shown to the server.
- Server hoppers. If someone joins 5 or more Library servers in an hour, that's usually a spam or scam account. Liora stops suggesting servers to them for a day and gives that server's staff a heads-up.
- Busy servers. Owners choose how many newcomers per hour the Library sends (20 unless they change it). When that's reached, the server shows as busy until the hour passes.
- A welcome. When someone arrives through the Library, Liora welcomes them and mentions the Library. Staff can switch this off.
Leaving
- Owners can leave any time from the dashboard. Liora takes the card down and deletes the invite links she made for the Library, so there's nothing left to clean up.
- If Liora leaves or is removed from a server, its card comes down straight away. She can't delete her invite links once she's gone, so owners may want to remove them in Server Settings → Invites (they're the ones Liora made for her Library).
