Birthdays & anniversaries
Last updated: 29 September 2026
What it does
Liora loves a celebration.
- Birthdays. Set yours with
/birthday setand Liora wishes you a happy birthday in the server's birthday channel on the day. Staff choose the wording: Liora's playful lines, or their own message. - Server anniversaries. Once a year, on the day you joined, Liora gives you a shout-out ("3 years here!").
- Wedding anniversaries. Couples married through Liora are celebrated every month for the first year, then once a year.
- Liora's own birthday. She celebrates the day Bliss started building her.
All of this only happens in servers where staff picked a birthday channel. Birthday wishes also need staff to switch birthdays on. Anniversaries are on unless staff switch them off on the dashboard.
Celebrations follow the UTC calendar day, so depending on where you live, yours may arrive a few hours early or late.
Only if you want to
- Your birthday is opt-in. Liora only knows it if you set it yourself, one server at a time.
- Only the month and day are kept, never the year, so Liora never knows your age from it.
- Anniversaries are opt-out.
/birthday anniversary offstops your server-anniversary shout-outs and any wedding anniversary posts that include you, in every server./birthday anniversary onbrings them back.
Who can see it
A birthday you set is visible to everyone in that server: in the birthday post itself, with /birthday show, /birthday next (the next 10 birthdays) and the "Check Birthday" right-click. That's the point of sharing it, so only set it where you're happy for people to know.
The day you joined a server is already on your Discord profile. Anniversary posts don't reveal anything new.
What she keeps
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your birthday (month and day), per server | To celebrate you | Until you remove it, or 72 hours after you've left every server Liora is in |
| That you turned anniversaries off | To keep respecting it | Until you turn them back on or ask Liora to forget you |
| Who was celebrated today | So a restart doesn't celebrate anyone twice | Until the day ends |
Wedding anniversaries use the marriage records described in Marriage & the Hearth. Server anniversaries use the join date Discord already has; Liora doesn't store it.
Your control
