Suggestions
What it does
Members send an idea for the server with /suggest. Liora posts it in the server's suggestions channel with 👍 and 👎 buttons, and (unless the staff switch it off) a thread to talk it over. The server's staff answer it with /suggestion decide: approved, declined, being considered, or done, with a reason if they like. The card shows the answer, voting closes, and Liora lets the person who suggested it know by DM. It's off until a server's staff switch it on in her dashboard and pick a channel.
Fair and safe
- One vote each. Press your vote again to take it back, or the other button to change it. The counts are public; who voted which way isn't shown to anyone.
- One suggestion per person every ten minutes, so the channel doesn't get flooded. Where a server has verification set up, only verified members can suggest or vote.
- It's yours to take back:
/suggestion deleteremoves your suggestion (staff can remove any).
What she keeps
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your suggestion: its words, that you sent it, where it's posted | To show it, and to let you know the staff's answer | 180 days after anything last happened to it, or until it's deleted |
| Who voted, and which way | So nobody votes twice, and you can change or take back your vote | The same |
| The staff's answer and who gave it | To show it on the card | The same |
After 180 days the post stays in the channel, but its buttons stop working. /privacy mydata lists the suggestions you sent and how many you voted on; /privacy forgetme takes your votes off and your name off your suggestions (the posts themselves are ordinary Discord messages, so delete yours first with /suggestion delete if you'd like them gone).
